IALHI NewsConstruction before the Industrial RevolutionThe Construction Industry before the Industrial Revolution (13th to 18th Centuries) Call for Papers Participants are asked to consider the kinds of issues that interest economic historians. They should indicate how their proposals fits into the scheme of the tentative program and demonstrate a willingness to go beyond description to make comparisons across space and across time with the objective of throwing light on the industry as a whole and on the overall economy. All interested scholars should send proposals, clearly specifying theme, period and region of interest, to the Istituto Datini by no later than 15 September 2002.
